we have a computer lab in my high school media center.  We have 17 Tandy
1000's rrecycled from the math lab when they upgraded.  Our lab is
completely staffed by volunteers.   We have around 25 active volunteers
from age 25 to 85.  We teach basic word processing to all our freshman as
paart of their orientation to the library.  Some of our volunteers teach
spread sheets and data base and some do programming.  It has been
operational for two years now and is a great success.  Students can come in
on their own any time to type a paper and get help.  The volunteers seem to
enjoy it too,  It is very little work for me because they do it all!
