LM_NET: Library Media Networking
I am Patsy Troutman, media coordinator at Providence High School,
Charlotte, N. C. For the past year I have worked with the leadership class
(student government class) on a telecommunications project with Andalusia
High School in Alabama. Students have shared ideas about student
activities while improving writing/computer skills; they have learned much
about the Internet. They "love" internet relay chats. Providence students
now want to branch out; they want to share student government ideas with
other schools across the nation. They really want to establish a national
forum or listserv. Do any of you librarians/media specialists have student
government associations in your schools that would be interested in
communicating with Providence and Andalusia students? Please let me know.
