---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Wed, 13 Apr 94 13:19:29 EDT From: Sandra L. Parks <sparks@vdoe386.vak12ed.edu> To: mcongre@eis.calstate.edu Subject: Re: CD Rom Network Yes -- we connected Optinet to the Follett system we had running on a Novell network. It works well -- we donn't have a tower yet, just daisy chained. The main weird thing is that Ctrl-Q to exit had been a big secret since I did not want the kids exiting Search Plus when it was all we had. I had to then tell them all how to exit once we loaded the CD-ROMs. You do have to rethink security with the network guys (or whoever sets up the CD-ROM network) to minimize what the kids can get into.
