Hi LM_NETTERS-- I really intended to get this posted earlier this week but didn't make it. I've received a lot of responses to my TARGET>Old SIRS and CQ Researchers and I really appreciate the input from everyone. Most of those who responded said to throw away anything older than 5 years. So guess what I'll be doing this spring! Some suggested putting articles that might still be of some interest for research in the vertical file. Keep the SIRS binders as they can be used for other things. A couple of specialists pass the old articles on to other teachers- esp. Social Studies and Science - to use for reference. One binds the old SIRS volumes, catalogs them and puts them in reference or regular stacks. Keep the hardbound copies of CQ Researcher if possible. The best idea is to get SIRS on CD-ROM if you can - and boy would I like to!! I'm looking for a way to afford it. Thanks again to all who wrote. Hope this is of use to others on the Net.
