Dear LM_NETters,
In the July 1994 issue of School Library Journal there was a news posting
about a private foundation grant to obtain CD_ROM technology for school
libraries. If you missed it and are interested contact: Blake Cabot,

02138; (617)661-6330. The name of the foundation is The C.E. Stone
Foundation, established May 9th '94 in Winston-Salem. The SLMS/NYLA
Board discussed this recently and there was some concern that no one knew
anything about this foundation since it was so new. We agreed that
librarians who applied should keep an eye out for fine print and or
possible "strings" which might be attached. If anyone has more
information or applies and actually receives an award, please let me
