I have the good fortune to have a 6-month privilege of an Internet address for
a special project involving penpals between an urban school and my own (rural)
school.

I'd like to use the 6 months to show the worth of internet access for my school
(k-5) and my district (about 2000 students). I know we could do our penpal
project on the k12 net we have used for years, but the internet gives many more
research opportunities.

I'm learning as fast as I can--but his project started 12/18 with ONE WEEK LEAD
TIME.

What advice can you give for service that is at once solid and quickly learned?
I'm willing enough to devote extra time to learning the navigation skills by
younger colleagues take for granted, but how is that extra time best spent?
Remember, the payoff must come in just 6 months.
