The spectrum is red-orange-yellow-green-blue-purple.

It is interesting to note that the two colors normally associated with both
Christmas (red & green) and Easter (purple & yellow) are exact opposites in the
spectrum.  There is some theory about a more powerful visual effect or
something like that.  Many sports teams choose opposites for their team colors.
