A great book on the topic of flexible scheduling is _Flexible Access
Library Media Programs_ by Jan Buchanan.  It is available from Libraries
Unlimited.

The book contains examples of planning forms and even ideas to promote
flexible access in a school.

Jan is a former media specialist in Seminole County, Florida.  She
successfully implemented these ideas in the various school media centers
where she worked.
