PowerPCs

Thanks for the response to my posted message concerning PowerPCs.  To
summarize I guess I could say that the real benefit to those who are
running current Mac software is that the power of this computer is in the
future and that it runs existing Mac software quite slow.  How slow?

From the feedback I have gotten it seems to run at about the speed of a
current Mac LC or one report said slower than any of the current Macs.

It seems to emulate current software and runs all but about 2% of existing
Mac software.

I should also point out that the Quadras have not been discontinued as
some articles have been reporting.

Questions that many of us probably have (as well as me) are:

1)  When will the new software be coming out and how much will it cost?
2)  How much will the upgrades for current Mac software cost?
3)  Is the 660AV upgradable?  It is currently bening sold for $320 more
    than the new 6160AV PowerPC.  What will that upgrade cost?

Any insight or experiences concerning the Quadra 660AV vs the PowerPC 6160AV
would greatly be appreciated.  I would especially be interested in
hearing from those have run existing Mac software on a PowerPC.
