TARGET-> Elementary Computer Labs

My district is revising its instructional computing philosophy. As an
elementary media specialist involved in this revision I would like to
TARGET->Elementary Computer Labs. I'd like to find out how others on LM_NET
are using computers in elementary schools. Is the computer lab concept still
widely accepted? For purposes of this discussion I mean a lab to be a group
of ten or more computers.

If people will respond to me regarding the questions listed below, I will
compile responses and post a HIT-> back to the list. Thanks for your help!

1. Does your building have a computer lab? Where is it located? What are the
main uses of the lab? What grade levels have access?

2. Do you have computers in classrooms? How are they used?

3. Do you see a trend toward classroom clusters of computers rather than
central computer labs in your building or district?
