Power Macs for compatibility in library ???

Hello friends --

Are these new Power Macs, or Power PC's the way to go?  We have
IBM in our library media center, but Macs everywhere else.  We
will be networking this next year and want to network in our
CD-ROMs as well.  Wouldn't this Power Mac run our Follett
software, any IBM CD's and Mac CD's -- and solve this compatibility
issue?  As we look to add computers in our media center, I'm
wondering if we shouldn't go with these new Power Macs ??
