A call for articles: Ohio Media Spectrum, the award-winning journal of the Ohio Educational Library M edia Association, is interested in receiving articles on topics of interest to library/media specialists. Make a contribution to the education of young peopl e and those who serve them as media specialists. Write about your good idea, a nd send it to us. Our circulation is about 1200 at present, and includes schoo l media specialists and colleges with teacher and media specialist preparation programs in Ohio and beyond. Topics might include cooperative projects with classroom teachers, library auto mation, successful reading promotions, teaching media skills, interesting key p al or classroom networking projects, results of successful grant applications, suggestions for setting up campus-wide computer networks, descriptions of state -wide networks for schools, research papers on the use of media in education, p ractical applications for technology, criteria for evaluating hardware and soft ware, trends in publishing for children and teens, creative uses of technology, sources of funding, etc. This list is meant to give potential authors ideas, not limit them to the subjects mentioned. Journal articles are subjected to blind review, and become the property of Ohio Media Spectrum. Photographs and illustrations are encouraged. A ttach a cover sheet with your name, address, phone, fax or email, but put no id entifying information on the manuscript itself. If the article is accepted, yo u will be asked to supply a short, 2 or 3 sentence, biography, and a personal p hoto. These may be sent with the initial submission. Ohio Media Spectrum uses APA style.
