Dear LM_NETters, There are a few vacancies left in these workshops, which are an updated version of last year's successful session at Northeastern University. NEMICRO, the Computer Users Group of NELA, the New England Library Association, in conjunction with NELINET, the New England Library Network, announces its spring workshop, "Cruising the Internet," in Burlington VT, at UVM, on Monday, May 16, and in Lewiston ME, at Bates College, on Monday, June 6. This is a workshop for beginners, which offers participants an overview of the Internet and a demonstration of its features in the morning session. After lunch, participants will explore the Internet from individual terminals (1-2 persons to a terminal), looking for resources and answers to questions furnished by the workshop. Lunch will be provided. Sessions will run from 9:00 to 3:00. Cost per person is $40 for NELA members, $50 for nonmembers.
