Dear Netters: I have a question for all of you employed library media specialists. Do school districts commonly let applicants know if they are not selected for jobs? Some of us at the university were comparing notes, and this seems quite common. We understand that districts don't reply to everyone who sends in an application. But what about after you have been interviewed? It seems like common courtesy to let people know as soon as possible, but it seems that often you never hear from them again unless you initiate the contact. I haven't interviewed for several years, so maybe this is just one of those facts of life I have to get used to. What do you think? Thanks for "listening".
