writing after reading

LM-Netters--

I will be teaching a summer school class entitled Sail through summer with
reading and writing, and am looking for some witing ideas that kids can do
instead of just an ordinary book report, something like, rewriting the
ending etc. If you have any neat ideas you have used or heard of please let
me know. I'll post a HIT if there's a lot of responses.
