Missouri-2 Elementary Positions

For those of you in the Kansas City, Missouri area, or willing to move to
the Kansas City area, there are two openings for elementary school library
media specialists in the Lee's Summit R-7 School District.

The Lee's Summit School District is a growing suburban district located in
the greater Kansas City area.  It covers 117 square miles and includes
parts of Jackson and Cass Counties.  There are eleven elementary schools, one
early childhood center, two junior highs, and one high school.  There are
over 1,100 certified and classified staff serving over 10,000 students.

There are currently 6 elementary library media specialists covering the 11
elementary schools.  Of the two positions being hired, one is a
replacement for an elementary LMS moving to the high school and one is an
entirely new position as the district moves toward one LMS per elementary
buillding.
