Back-issues of periodicals

My school has been subscribing to TOM, Jr. for the past year.  My
students couldn't be more pleased with it!  The problem we've run across
is that each time the new CD arrives, it only contains articles going
back 3 years.  Has anyone found a way to access back issues, other than
saving the print copy of the magazines (which take up too much room and many
many are missing anyway) -- is microfiche the only way?
I would love to see back issues on CD.
Does anyone know of any place to obtain them?
