Regarding the query:
Are there any school library media catalogs on the net?

Only a few responses, but good ones - here they are!

First, a note about coming attractions, then 2 "live" ones.

We are not on the net--but we will soon be on Luminet, a local fiber
optic network.  It is a "gift" to our community by a local foundation;
U.S. west is donating $500,000 and the foundation $650,000. There is
money to develop multimedia learning materials. We will place our data
resources on Luminet and eventually on a community file server.
Initially 8 institutions---our middle school, Winona State University, a
tehcnical college, a private college, two high schools, the community
hospital, and city hall will be phase one luminet sites. Eventually
there will be internet access and luminet will be our connection to the
internet.    This is so exciting!
