One might very well resent those who try to thrust their personal opinions on everyone else and certainly I have seen outstanding examples from both the MLS and "pick it up on the job" [although we don't much like it when people do that to us] and the teaching plus additional training "camp." The fact remains that I was not offering my personal opinion but a body of research. For an information profession, it certainly is interesting how little we know, value and use our own research. I am just glad that my physician doesn't act the same way.
