As I stated in my original posting--there are many fine individual
exceptions and each and every one will feel compelled to come forward.
However, that doesn't remove the large body of research that clearly
indicates that successful school librarians are generally those with
successful classroom teaching experience, according to studies of
teachers, principals and superintendents.
