Sandra:

        I was in college at the time.  I was walking across the campus
when people began shouting that the President had been shot.  Being so
very insulated in college life, I thought they meant the President of the
college.  I went on to my class, and recieved the word from the
professor.  Life stopped at that point.  College was close down, and we
were all sent home.  This was a tragic time in our llives.
