We have used Broadcast News for over a year, and absolutely love it.
Our students and faculty also like it a great deal. We have about a dozen
CD-ROM's networked in our media center, and find Broadcast News (television
news transcripts) a perfect compliment to NewsBank (newspapers) and MAS
(magazines). Also, I spoke with Research Publications recently, and they
told me that in addition to CNN, ABC, NPR and PBS, a deal was pending to
include NBC news programs transcripts. I think the program is relatively
easy to use, and allows you to tailor searches in a variety of ways. It also
has some decent graphics. One drawback, it takes more hardware speed and
memory than most databases. I would give it an A-/B+ (cost might be a
factor).

Hope that helps. For any more info, please e-mail me.
