I have been swamped with questions in regard to Ingram so I will share more
information:
        Telephone number: 1-800-937-5300 - extension 6612 - this will get
                you Dirk Essary, a library services representative - he
                has the answers to all your questions and always returns
                calls

        They also have a BOOKFAX service - If you call 615-287-6700 you
                will get an automated fax response system - a voice prompt
                will ask you to select documents you want to receive by fax.
                A good one to start with would be the "Table of Contents"
                which lists all the available documents.  You can order
                up to 5 with each phone call.

        Weekly fiche may be ordered for $65 a year which list regional
inventories of over 250,000 titles of books, audiocassettes, calendars,
and multimedia.  Video fiche will be included at no extra charge.
Books and calendars' discounts are 40%, audiocasettes and multimedia
discounts are 45% (includes Compton's and Encarta encyclopedias!), and
video discounts are 25%.  Exceptions  to these general discounts are
indicated on the fiche.  There are catalogs available for multimedia,
audiocassettes, and video.   There is a monthly promo which lists new
books--periodically there are specialty catalogs, e.g. computer books,
professional and reference books, etc.

        Staff orders are available so that you can purchase books for
yourself and your staff at the same discounts.

        The same discounts that bookstores get are given to libraries
as well.

        If you wish to get your books cataloged or have your paperbacks
prebound (you get the paperbacks for at least a 40% discount plus the
binding charge) just ask Dirk.
