Not being a real Librarian---yet, I shouldn't answer, but please indulge me. I have been a library clerk in the same elementary library for 14 years with the same Chapt. 1 teacher. I am there alone 5 out of the 6 days in our cycle, therefore, I am treated like a librarian for the most part. The chapter one lady is always using me and the library resources for her classes. She requests all sorts of material from me--bounces new ideas off me, and is one of the best in the school for utilizing the library. There is one problem--no early warning system. I probably work too well for her because usually when she wants something, it is today, even from half-way across the state. She has me get duplicate copies of novels, videos or filmstrips to finish a unit, study prints etc to use for extra resources. We have a wonderful time coming up with new ideas--if only I knew yesterday!! . On Thu, 17 Nov 1994, D.
