My principal has a copyright question. He is writing a book with another
author, and they are citing and quoting from many other works. They are
giving credit, using quotes, and providing a bibliography.
The question is this: do they need to contact all the other authors they are
quoting from (and/or their publishers) to get permission to quote from them?
The longest quotes are six to seven paragraphs.
I know many of you are published authors and must have dealt with this
problem. How did you handle it?
Thanks again in advance for your help. As I always say, LM_NET is fantastic!
