A big, whopping THANK YOU to all of you who responded with
suggested newsletter names. There were some excellent ones! In fact, I
think I'll change the name of mine with every publication. ;) You may be
interested to know that I've chosen LIBRARY LINKS - your connection to
the CMS Library. The primary reason for this choice was due to a
chain-link border that I could use to frame the masthead. Thanks again
to all of you generous, creative folks! And a big THANKS to Betty
Hamilton for helping me figure out how to post this HIT.

I call my intermittent (very) publication "At the Center", short for
Library Media Center and to imply the importance of our program to the
whole school. For the masthead I spiral the letters of the title in to a
center point. You could also call it "From the Center" and spiral the
name outward.

Judy - don't know how much this will help you but I named my library
newsletter "Lion Tales," Lions being our school mascot; "tales" is ,of
course, a play on words. I had an art student design a masthead with a
lion stretched out wearing glasse
s and reading - with his tail stretchedthe width of the paper (and curled
up on t
he end)! Eunice Stewart, C.K.

Why not call it "The Offramp" and then hold a contest to see if they can
figure out why. (Info superhighway and all that.) OR you could call it:
    " Library Outlook "
" When the booklady sings... "
" Faculty FREEnotes " (that should get their attention)
    " Rhymes and References"
" This student-free moment brought to you by... "
" InfoSnooze " (no, scratch that one)
" The Circulation Circular" (I'd better quit.......)
