Group-- I am contemplating adding both Mac and IBM-compatible platform computers with mini-changers to the information resources availalbe to the students. I already have 12 ROMs on a Novell network so that takes care of the most commonly used databases. I am adding the mini-changers for those ROMs are that a) I don't feel warrant the expense of network licensing or b) are so specific in their subject matter that they would not be used constantly or by lots of people. Since my Novelle is running DOS, should the IBM-compatible be running windows for those programs that will only run under that operating system? It seems when I was ALA more and more programs are only in this format. Also, if the program runs on DOS, will it run under windows? (I'm a Mac person-- :-) Thanks for the input! ***************************************************************************** Floyd Pentlin, Library Media Specialist / Lee's Summit High School, Div. 2 400 Blue Parkway / Lee's Summit, MO 64063 / VOICE: 816-251-3418 FAX: 816-251-3419 / E-MAIL: fpentlin@hobbs.leesummit.k12.mo.us "Always remember that you're unique, just like everyone else." *****************************************************************************
