The annual conference of FAME (the Florida Association of Media in
Education), October 19-22,  being held in Ft. Lauderdale at the Convention
Center and Marriott Hotel has placed a strong emphasis on technology.
Several of the over 100 concurrent sessions are devoted to
telecommunication and the internet.  This conference, planned by media
specialists, would be of interest to all educators.

The Tech Fest on Saturday, October 22 features a luncheon presentation of
"Virtual Reality, the Blackboard of the Future" by Vincent John Vincent.
Morning workshop topics include network technology, producing CD-ROM's,
online resources, and a look in the future.  Saturday's cost is $20 with
full conference registration and $30 for Tech Fest only (must preregister).

Full conference registration is $50 for members and $80 for non members.  A
single day is $25. To request a conference brochure or more information on
