European keypals

Dear netters:  I'm sorry to clutter up the net with my request for keypals,
but I don't know where else to go.  I'm on America Online, and have been
exploring the k-12 options available through our limited gophering
capabilities.  Even through kidlink or k-12 net, I can't find out how to get
keypals, just how to participate in online discussions (which BTW, sound
great).  Anyway, a sixth grade teacher at my school would like to have
European keypals for her students while they are studying Europe.  If anybody
can point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful.
