Inasmuch as the following was sent to the Mandarin list which is geared to
interchange of information from Mandarin Users for purposes of managing and
using that system,  I thought it might be more appropriate and reach a wider
audience through LM_NET.

I'd also like to hear about the experiences.  It's a switch I'm
considering.  Also am considering Dynix.  What else do you recommend.  We
will probably make final decision in a month.

        Type add mandarin userid@nodename full name

This list is "confidential", meaning anyone who is not signed on to the
list cannot access our messages (that is, until they are archived).  This
does NOT mean that interested MANDARIN users couldn't sign up.  I am
encouraging anyone who wants to be on this list please sign up.

If you have a idea, query, problem that you want to post to the list,
send a message to : mandarin@suvm.syr.edu.  I realize that this is repeat
information, but is important when getting a list started.

Two new points:

You will not recieve a message back when posting a message to the list,
so you may want to send yourself a copy as a reminder of what you wrote.

                     skip subject line and 1 message line
                     type: delete mandarin userid@nodename
