Listserv Help

I apologize for cluttering the conversation with this query, but I am
desperate.
I have all these listserv addresses, with, I believe, bitnet particles
floating around in the addresses.  How do I subscribe to individual
lists?  Here's one example of the type of information I have.

TOLKIEN         TOLKIEN@JHUVM           J.R.R. Tolkien's Readers

How do I get onto this list?
