Sumner School District, Washington state, has 3 positions (Crestwood, McAlder, a
 nd Bonney Lake Elementary Schools) open for the 95-96

Essential Qualifications:
.Valid and appropriate professional education certificate for the State of
Washington. (Endorsement of 24 credits in library/learning resources).
.Master's Degree preferred
.Experience in using computerized catalogue and circulation systems
preferred.
.Knowledge of technology and literary resources to support instruction.
.Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
.Ability to troubleshoot minor technical equipment problems
.Willingness to participate in on-going district supported training
activities.

Performance Responsibilities
The performance elements listed below are for illustrative purposes only
and do not reflect an all inclusive scope of responsibilities:
.Manages a learning resource/library  media center in accordance with
national, state, and district standards, utilizing a resource-based
learning model.
.Collaborates with staff to implement curriculum integration.
.Provides leadership, training and support to staff in instructional use
of technology to include:
- use of computers to support instruction
- use of technology as a tool to support curriculum integration
- assistance in library network management
- assistance in providing staff development and training in use of
technology to support instruction
.Aids in selection, acquisition, circulation of supplies, materials, and
equipment.
.Responsible for the proper care of facilities and equipment in his/her area.
.Participates in staff and department meetings.
.Participates in educational reform efforts at the building and district
level.
