LM_NET: Library Media Networking
I am interested in finding journal articles addressing the subject of
Internet vs Libraries. The reason I say "vs" is because I've heard a
couple of people in my county say that they don't need to put money into
their school libraries any more because they will have the Internet. I can
come up with all sorts of answers for them (while foaming at the mouth),
but an authoratative article or two would be helpful. I did a quick search
on EBSCO's MAS Full Text Elite, but didn't make any hits. Anything any of
you can come up with would be most useful. If this has been discussed
previously I apologize, but I just resubscribed to LM_NET after not having
access to e-mail for awhile. If this is of interest to others on the
Listserv, then I guess you could go ahead and post to the group at large,
