RESOURCES SURVEY As part of my thesis, I am conducting this survey to determine how teachers select and use resources in their teaching in this Information Age. Due to the nature of the survey, your participation is not anonymous, but your name and e-mail address will be removed and the data will be treated confidentially. Please return the survey by e-mail to <ed848505@student.uq.edu.au> or <J.Krassnig@mailbox.uq.oz.au>, not to the list, no later than 17th May, 1995. I will post the results. ============================================================================== For the purpose of this questionnaire, the following terms have been defined: RESOURCES: the materials or media which can be used in a school to provide information. In this study they exclude human resources and equipment. RESOURCE-BASED LEARNING: a method used by teachers in which students learn by using a wide variety of differently formated resources under the teacher's systematic guidance so that they become confident and independent lifelong learners. INFORMATION SKILLS: the skills needed to value, locate, analyze and use information, competently, critically, and effectively throughout life. IN-SERVICE: any formally organized program or informal activity undertaken by teachers, individually or cooperatively, to enhance their professional development. TECHNOLOGY: hardware and associated software programs to drive the hardware. ============================================================================== INSTRUCTIONS: Please answer in your own words, and as fully as you wish, the following questions.
