Tried to reply directly to "kaiau" but my merssage got bounced back, so
here it is again:
A personal favorite at our house (we had to buy a second copy when the
original didn't last through two toddlerhoods) was P.D. Eastman's ARE YOU
MY MOTHER? This is one I still like to give to other 2-year-olds as they
happen along and we always get rave reviews ranging from "we have to read
it *every* night" to "and Rebecca even *acts it out!*" It's also one of
my favorite Mother's Day read-alouds and it's available in a bilingual
version for little Southwesterners who need to grow up speaking Spanish
as well as English. Vona Van Cleef, librarian, LBJ Elementary, El Paso,
Texas (where South meets West as in "Yeehah, y'all!")
