Dear Colleagues, Recently we have received messages from members that they have had problems setting nomail, resulting in pileups of several hundred messages in their mailbox upon their return. We have investigated this, and discovered that, in some cases, the command was mis-typed, with a period being placed at the end of the sentence. There should NOT be a period at the end of the command. Please note the instructions below. * * * * Temporarily Stopping Mail From LM_NET * * * * If you want to stop receiving mail from LM_NET for a period of time, all you have to do is send a specific message to the listserv computer which handles LM_NET mail. Send the message to this address: listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the body of the message, on the first line, type the following: set lm_net nomail To restart your LM_NET mail, send to the same address, the following: set lm_net mail Peter Milbury, Librarian PMILBURY@ERICIR.SYR.EDU "http://www.cusd.chico.k12.ca.us/~pmilbury" ............................................................................
