GEN:literary agent

     A friend of mine has written a Y.A. book that she is trying to get
published.  She received a letter from a representative of the Literary
Bridge Agency in Sedona, Arizona wanting her to sign a contract and remit
a fee of $175.  Since she is new in this "business" she is wondering if
this is a customary practice and whether or not this is a reputable
agency.  Any information you have about this subject would be greatly
appreciated by both of us.
