REF: Biographical info on Alice Childress

I have a student who needs biographical info on Alice Childress.  I have
the v. 7 of -Something About the Author- but that is all.  I also know
there is a reference in Contemporary Authors but I was hoping there might
be other sources that I could send her to.
TIA.  I've really enjoyed reading all the mail the last month or so.
