TECH:Use of Surfwatch

LN_Netters-
  The Tech Co-ordinator of my district informed me yesterday that the
school board is interested in learning more about Surfwatch.  Students at
the high school will have access to the internet next semester.  I tend
to think that a good AUP might help alleviate the board's concerns rather
than using Surfwatch.  But since we are new at all this, I might be a
little naive about the problems we will encounter once students are
on-line.  Do any of your districts use Surfwatch or something similar?
If so, is it effective? Do you feel as if you are censoring what students
have access to when they are doing research, etc.? Have you had any
problems with Surfwatch?  The Technical Committee is meeting this
afternoon. Sorry about the short notice, but maybe you could give me some
info to use at that meeting.  You guys are great!
