Tartget: Well-written YA books on divorce

Hi -
  An English teacher asked me for a list of fiction books for her
12-year-old niece whose parents are going through a divorce.  I can think
of several titles but she has very high writing standards and there are
some I would never recommend to her (she and her family will also be
reading them). She would prefer that they deal with father-abandonment,
loneliness, coping, etc.  Thanks.
