Software retailers that allow preview

I was just about to throw out a catalogue when I noticed that they stated
they allowed previews of software.  We are shortly going to be purchasing
quite a bit of software with some grant money and previewing some
possible choices would be wonderful.  Has anybody had any experience
--good or bad-- with Fas-track Computer Products in Columbus Ohio?  Does
anybody know any other companies which allow you to preview software?
