Thanks for the replies about purchasing CDRom for a high school library. Many of you are praising SuperTom, one dissenter. One person prefers CDNewsbank to TOM, doesn't like the choices of periodicals on TOM. One person has introduced MAS Select, and I (ironically) got a call from the EBSCO salesperson today. It actually "sounds" better than TOM, but it doesn't have the microfiche to support it. It does have 68 full text periodicals and journals, 490 indexed with abstracts, keyword searchable, even in full text. I learned this over the phone. So now I have another question. Does anyone have anything to add about either MAS Select or MAS Elite? Will not having the microfiche be a problem if I go to this?(The MAS Elite has 134 full text periodicals) I must be completely prepared when I go to my superintendent because he is going to fight the expense and question my judgement. As this is my first year as a LMS, I am a little nervous about my decisions. Thanks for any help that you can give. George Anne Draper LMS Wynne, Arkansas gdraper@wps.k12.ar.us
