I find grade 8 and 9 students like - "Peace and War : A Collection of
Poems" --OUP, 1989, Michael Harrison and Christopher Stuart-Clark, eds.
208 p. ISBN:0-19-276069-6 (HB) and another good title is "Poetry Alive :
Perspectives" -- Copp Clark Pitman, 1991. ISBN: 0-7730-5147-3
-- this last title is Canadian but also has a large number of
international poets. Teachers like both of them too -- maybe you could
order one of each and check them out!
