Computer brands

Hi netters!

I need some advice and/or opinions on the differences between
some brands of computers...specifically, Packard Bell, Acer,
and Leading Edge.  It is so hard to get a straight answer from
a sales rep...if their bid is not the lowest one, it's always because
their product is "better, more reliable, etc., etc.."  I realize
that sometimes that is the case, and we don't want to just go
cheap for cheap's sake.  But at the same time we are on a
budget and will probably go with the lowest bid unless I
know of a reason why that lowest bid is not really the best
deal.

If you have any info I can use, I would appreciate hearing from
you as soon as possible.  TIA.
