There is a body of evidence that librarians are their own worst censors.

Book selection should never rest on fear of later censorship problems.


Does the lack of challenges by the public to Stine's books indicate

        parents don't care, and therefore the "fear" is not warrented
        many libraries have excluded the titles due to fear
        censorship attempts are not being reported
