Speech disorder fiction

Friends,

I had such good luck yesterday with my request for an article from _New
York_ magazine...Thanks everyone...

Now...I have a teacher who is looking for a fiction book, adolescent to
adult level, which involves a character with a speech impediment or
disorder of some kind.  If it involves a speech pathologist as a
character, even better.  Does anyone know if such a book exists?
