I'm not sure, Ruth, but I'd guess that public librarians have just as
much ---- slung at them. Remember how Donna Reed looked and acted in
the film "It's a Wonderful Life" when Jimmy Stewart was hallucinating
about what everyone's lives would be like if he'd never been born? She
practically had her chin on the GROUND, as she peered through her thick
glasses ....
