We have seen literature on two of these machines, AlphaSmart and another
one; we're looking into them for our school and would also like to hear
from others about their experiences with any of these machines:

Do they really work?  Are they easy to use?  Are they hardy and durable?
Any maintenance problems?  Do you loan them out to kids for home use?  How
many do you have in your school?  What impact has it had on your other
computers?  How many other computers do you have and who uses them? (what
kind? where located?) Can they download directly to a printer?  And, most
importantly, how do students and staff feel about the computer-compatible
keyboard wordprocessors?
