Hello again! I'm following the great advice to do low-profile tasks after hours, and I'm having a very productive Saturday as I post my second request! I am on our school-based management council, and we would like to institute a pass privilige denial policy. We know we may have difficulty getting it past our administrators, but it seems our most troublesome students are rewarded with passes and wander the halls at will. Assemblies, field trips, dances, social events are open to all students regardless of how many detentions they receive. However, if a student is on ISS or OSS they may not attend dances. Our hands are tied with regard to discipline, and we thought this might be a deterrent that is acceptable to parents. I know this isn't a new concept, but it sure is new to our school. If your school has a policy, I would appreciate a copy of the guidelines. Thanks in advance! (We just purchased a fax machine that is housed in the school office, but I don't know the fax number.)
