Today I just finished my February media newsletter to my faculty. As I did
so, I became curious as to what the rest of you do to formally communicate
with your staff. How many of us send out newsletters? How often? Could
we share tips/ideas as to what works for content, format, etc. My
newsletter usually includes information about the Internet (today it was 4
hot new sites and information about listservs), a list of new items in the
media center, as well as anything else I wish to pass along. I type the
information in MicrosoftWord and then finalize the design in PageMaker.
I'm not sure how many teachers read it, but it is a valuable PR tool
especially for administrators (I always make sure my principal and
superintendant get a copy).

I've never seen this topic discussed on LM_NET and would appreciate reading
about the newsletter experiences of my many fine colleagues!
